My favourite local place to eat

This is a lovely restaurant in a pleasant rural village of Hadnall. We visit this every few months and always have a wonderful meal. The choices are plenty and they do an early evening sitting before 7.30pm with a set menu or the A la Carte all evening. We had a wonderful Mothering Sunday Lunch there in 2008 and couldn't fault the food or service. Would highly recommend this for a special occasion or just a light lunch in the week. Tripadvisor

Excellent high class restaurant

This is an excellent high class restaurant in the delightful rural village of Hadnall on the outskirts of Shrewsbury on the A49 towards Whitchurch. I had to stay on business at the battlefield Travel Lodge nearby last week and found this place by chance at 6.30pm when the doors opened. The A la Carte menu choices were plentiful but I decided to try the early evening 3 course set menu as I was on a budget. The food was superb and well presented from nice pleasant staff. I also has an excellent bottle of 2001 St Aubin from their list of bin ends at a much reduced price form their regular wine list

Next time I have to visit Shrewsbury I will stay at this place and they have a number of rooms available. I highly recommend this restaurant for its excellent food and wine at very reasonable prices. Tripadvisor
